Nitrofurazone is an effective treatment for both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It is particularly useful for combating common fish diseases, including myxobacterial infections, fin and tail rot, dermal fungus, open sores, and Vibrio anguillarum.
Directions:
- Add 1/4 teaspoon per 30 gallons of aquarium water.
- Repeat dosage every 24 hours, with a 25-50% partial water change before each repeat dose.
- Continue treatment for 5 to 10 days.
- For dip treatments, use 189–756 mg per 10 gallons for 1 hour, and repeat daily for 10 days.
- Regularly monitor ammonia and nitrite levels.
- Perform water changes as necessary.
- Not for fish intended for human consumption.
Warnings:
- May cause moderate eye irritation.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.
- Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
- Keep away from heat and bright light.
- Using this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling is a violation of Federal law.

- All products are hygroscopic meaning the material will absorb moisture and degrade if left opened. Keep top tightly closed preferably inside sealed plastic bag in between uses.
- Precautions for safe handling - Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Keep containers closed and sealed in a dry, dark, room temperature place.
